New Zealand autumn is when all of the flowers die and everything turns a shade of brown with the exception of some bushes and trees. Yeah it means if you want to put flowers around the place you'll have to make a trip to the supermarket instead of being able to raid your garden but here's another option... just get the green stuff! As many different kinds of leaves as you can! I think they still look pretty good.
- Strip the branches at the bottom to make them less bulky in the vase
- Nature always looks better in odd numbers (so 1 or 3 or 5 of a type of leaf)
-If you add a small pinch of sugar to the water they last a little longer
